I need to put this thing first, at very first that the USP what i found of Maharaja Bhog is truly their service, their hospitality.
I should mention about my experience at the end but i had really very good time here and that’s what made me put it forward.
The staff is not just good in welcoming but serves you in a very good way and keep on looking for the things needed.
I truly appreciate the affords what the staff is dedicating.
At Maharaja Bhog, fine dining acquires whole new meaning.
It was my bday and my fast as well so family had plan for Maharaja Bhog considering Tuesday.
It was my first time to Maharaja Bhog and as soon as one enters in the rich ambiance and the aroma all over makes it soo pleasant
The thing what attracted me from the interior is the spices wall what they have at one side.
It showcase the history in a way of Indian Cuisine and the importance of the spices to the taste.
What next was very new concept to me was a giant Thali as the center of attraction.
I was not sure what that concept is so i probably missed that experience.
B’coz we had a table of four and that’s what is needed.
You should be 4 people of group to have a giant thali experience.
No worries, my want of experiencing the giant thali will make me go down again 🙂
Now coming up to food.
So Maharaja Bhog is having a thali system and the menu content keeps on changing every day/ every week and as the season changes it to goes with the flow.
Let’s check what i had here on Tuesday i.e on 31-07-2018 as a dinner buffet.
So the food what Maharaja Bhog serves is mostly North Indian, Mainly focusing Gujarati and Rajasthani Culinary.
I like the thali system especially in those days where one holds a fast.
It really make the person soo convenient to have / ask for needed choice of food for more.
Coz in Buffet system what i face a problem on a fasting day is to ask again and again the another member to bring the food for you when you are about to open/end your fast and once you sit at a place for this rituals you can’t get up in between till you finish the meal completely – The one who does fast will completely relate to this one.
Here is the menu on the day i visited:-

3. One Steamed & One Fried Farsan – Khamand & Sabudana Kutlet

7. Four different types of Vegetable – Palak Anguri Kofta, Bhindi Dahi Wali, Aaloo Patal Bhaji, Jaisalmeri Chana
8. Two types of Kadhi (Rajasthani/Gujarati) – Sweet & Spicy
9. Three Different types of Traditional Indian Breads – Rotlo, Thepla & Rotli
10. Two types of Indian Dal (Rajasthani/Gujarati) – Sweet & Spicy

Whole menu is prepared in pure desi ghee.
And the amount of ghee they serve in the portions is ample.
Diet conscious buddies will find good amount of workout post dinner but for sure will not resist indulging in this one.
They have a rituals of making you wash your hands right at your table in a very traditional royal way.
Now telling you about the taste of the food,.
All the preparations are very rich in taste and delicious.
Taking from the welcome drink to chaat and main course and desserts, every single dish was truly satisfying.
Just the thing can be served much hotter as well.
When it comes to Indian Cuisine so it doesn’t mean all the time that that its loaded with hotter and spicier palate, no it just need to be rich in flavors. And i find this point doing justice with that thought. Good Going Maharaja Bhog.

Sabudana papad, a healthy alternative With Great Taste!
Have you heard of Sabudana or tapioca? If not, let us take a recap to know what it is. Sabudana pearls are used to prepare the yummylicious earthy-flavoured Sabudana papad. This papad is widely enjoyed during festivals and even during big functions or fasts like Navaratri, and many more such events. Instant sabudana papad usually doesn’t have any spices. So, you can probably cook with some innovation to make others also enjoy it! Sabudana is loved by everyone as when cooked it is soft, fluffy and flavorus. While if we have it in a solid form like a papad, it is still loved and innovated with many spices. It will fill your tummy quickly and leave you feeling full.
Usually in our Indian society we are restricted to sabudana being a “fast” food, by that it doesn't mean that it is a restaurant food, fasting is when people perform rituals on a big occasion or a moral and spiritual act where the aim is to purify the body and mind and acquire divine grace. But when people are fasting or having a puja at home, sabudana comes first in their mind. So basically we know what sabudana is, but what is it made of? Let's know in depth!
How sago pearls are made?
The sago pearls are made from tapioca root. The root is then cleaned, peeled, and then crushed to release the milk. The milk is then kept aside to settle for 3-8 hrs so that the residual impurities are able to float on top of the tank. Later this residue is drained out of the tank, and settled into a milk cake. After settling, they are formed into small globules, and then it gets packaged.
3 Scrumptious Ways of Eating Sabudana Papad:
1) Served With Mint Chutney: Sabudana papad is most enjoyed with fresh mint chutney as a side dish. It is very often served to guests.
